Riser Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Riser mobile application (the "App") handles information on your device. Riser is designed to keep your data on your device; the developer does not operate servers that collect or store your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Riser does not require an account and does not transmit your personal information to the developer. The App stores the following locally on your device only:

• Your alarms (time, label, days, mission settings, sound preference)
• Your wake-up history and stats
• Your theme, sound, and mission preferences
• Premium purchase status (managed by Apple's App Store / StoreKit)

This data lives in the App's local storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults) and is removed when you delete the App.

2. Advertising

Riser displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the App. AdMob may collect and process limited information to serve and measure ads, which may include:

• Device identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers, "IDFA," where permitted)
• Device type, operating system, and general region/language
• Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)
• IP address (used by AdMob for fraud prevention and coarse geolocation)

On first launch, Riser presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," AdMob will only serve non-personalized ads and will not use the IDFA for cross-app tracking. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your advertising identifier to personalize ads.

3. Purchases

Riser offers an optional premium upgrade that removes ads and unlocks premium themes. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Riser does not see or store your payment information; we only receive a receipt from Apple confirming your purchase status.

4. Notifications

Riser uses local notifications (scheduled on your device) to deliver your alarms. No notification content is sent through remote servers.

5. Permissions

• Notifications — required to deliver alarms.
• App Tracking Transparency — optional; affects ad personalization only.
• Background Audio — used to reliably play the alarm sound when firing.

Riser does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, health data, or calendar.

6. Children's Privacy

Riser is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Your Choices

• You can reset ad-tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• You can delete all App data by uninstalling Riser.
• You can disable notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → Riser.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
